The Fjallraven Luhkka Cape is an excellent shelter layer that protects against snow, sleet and windy conditions. Modeled after the tradition Luhkka worn by the Sami people who are indigenous to the Arctic regions of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia, this piece of clothing is designed to provide shelter and warmth while also provide ultimate mobility and ventilation when working hard. Luhkka translated to English means "bad weather collar". The Luhkka Cape is made slightly longer than the traditional model providing good coverage for the lower torso and upper legs. Snap buttons have been added to the sides for protection from the wind and a fleece lined kangaroo pocket is found on the front. The adjustable hood is finished with a detachable synthetic fur trim to protect the face from blowing snow. This cape is made with durable G1000 fabric allowing adaptation to weather conditions with Greenland Wax.
